Tareak Meristhones of Embers: (TARE ee ak mare ISS tho neez) Leader of Embers, one of the lesser infernal realms. Tareak negotiated the terms for the New Alliance of Embers.
Tengu: (TEN goo) Japanese spirits or demons. The term means 'heavenly dog' but in older artwork is portrayed as a bird-like man rather than a dog. Modern art often represents them as deformed men with long noses instead of beaks. In Elf Mastery, they were once followers of Chaos who defected to the side of Order. Though they have proven themselves trustworthy they are generally shunned, though King Oberon has trusted many of them to work in the Star Stations that keep Chaos and his followers at bay. In Elf Mastery they are small, perhaps two-three feet high, agile, and have long noses and brown skin.
Terra (Minister): The Trade Minister in High Haven.
Thijs: (THEES) A merman from the Undine.
Tilvingirlimn (Professor): (til VIN gur lim) Dean of Admissions at Equinox. He is an elderly gnome who procures many unusual items for the school. He always appears disheveled and his office a mess,h though he has an uncanny ability to find anything he needs in an instant. He is absent-minded, but bright, and as a former biologist sometimes teaches courses in the Life Sciences.
Titania: (ti TAHN ya) In Shakespeare's A Midsummer Nights Dream, Titania is Queen of the Fairies and wife of Oberon. She reprises this role in Elf Mastery. Whereas Oberon primarily leads the army and intelligence network for the World of Order, Titania is responsible for the judiciary, legislation, and domestic affairs.
Tree Singing: The technique of singing to trees (and other plants) to help them bloom, grow, drop their leaves, etc as plants tend to be too dim to do these things on their own. The language of trees is affected by the pitch of one's voice, so only the most gifted singers are able to learn the trade. Tree Singing is Aspen's trade of choice.
Tribe of the Fire God: The proper name for the ciguapa settlement surrounding Anhanguera's temple.
Troll: Large creatures from Norse/Scandinavian legend. Often associated with mountains, rocks, and earth. In Elf Mastery, trolls are large and often grumpy creatures with varying skin tones of browns or blues or greens, lumpy features, and permanent scowls. Nearly as big as ogres, but on average more intelligent. While not necessarily evil, trolls are unpredictable folk and have been known to commit sudden and violent outbursts.
